Days!
Saturday & Sunday -April 18-19 and April 25-26
Who:
You! We need volunteers to work, but also some angels to
make and deliver lunches for the work crew.
What:
Amigos Days is a program in partnership with the City of
Dallas, “People Helping People”. The city selects people who
need help with the upkeep of their houses (ours is in the
Love Field area). Our job is to scrap and paint the house,
build handrails on the back door, replace rotting siding and
generally clean the yard. Good thing we are working with
other volunteers from Schreiber Memorial UMC!
When: April 18-19 and April
25-26
start at 8:00am and work all day…don’t worry, this is a come
and go project. Sign up for a couple of hours or as much as
you can!
Where:
6602 Tyree St.,
near Love Field. We can carpool together or you can drive
yourself…maps will be provided to volunteers.
Why?:
Because we are called by our faith to reach out to clothe
the naked, feed the hungry, etc., etc. This is our chance
to reach out in love to someone who truly needs our help.
There’s no better example of “hands on” ministry.
