Holy Week Services

Sunday, March 28 – Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday will be observed as we remember Jesus' joyous entry into Jerusalem, on streets lined with people, who were in Jerusalem for Passover, waving palm branches and proclaiming him as the messianic king. The Gospels tell us that Jesus rode into the city on a donkey, enacting the prophecy of Zechariah 9:9, and in so doing emphasized the humility that was to characterize the Kingdom he proclaimed.

Thursday, April 1 – Maundy Thursday Service

7:00 pm

Maundy Thursday, also called Holy Thursday, is a service to commemorate Jesus' Last Supper with the disciples as they gathered together in the Upper Room. Jesus washed the disciples' feet and instituted what we now observe as the sacrament of Holy Communion. Jesus also gave the disciples a new commandment to love one another as he had loved them (John 13:34).

Friday, April 2 – Good Friday Service

            7:00 pm

Good Friday Service will be a quiet, solemn service as we commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus.  This will proclaim God's purpose of loving and redeeming the world through the cross of our Lord, Jesus Christ. It is a day that is good because God was drawing the world to God's self in Christ.

Sunday, April 4 – Easter Sunday

We will have two services on Easter Sunday:

            7:00 am at the Labyrinth

            10:30 am in the Sanctuary

Celebrate with us as we remember the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the hope He brings to each of us.   Hallelujah, Christ has risen.
