Your Youth Director is desperately seeking adult volunteers to fill a rotating schedule. To comply with safe practices, we must always have two adults with the youth group! You would be on-duty from 4-6 pm on your selected date.
Mostly, you would serve as a second set of eyes for Heidi. Other "duties" depend on your ability and comfort level...perhaps setting up items for an activity, supervising a few kids playing catch outdoors, monitoring the free play in the youth room, or serving/cleaning up snacks. Please contact Heidi ASAP.
Project Transformation (PT) Registration is going very well. Thanks to all of our volunteers and those who have given money and prayers for the program. If you would like to volunteer as a reader this summer, please stop by the main office to turn in your background check form. (Forms are located on the table outside the church office.)
We are reading the first week of PT!
Plan to come June 4th – 7th to read. You are welcome to talk to the site coordinator about volunteering throughout the summer if you just can’t get enough.
Sunday School Class
Jimmy and Dawn are ready to sign up your adult Sunday School class to teach the Elementary class this summer. We also need a few dedicated volunteers to teach the younger Sunday School class during the summer. All
curriculum is provided for you. This gives the regular teachers a much needed and well deserved break.
The new volunteer list for Message Experience is up on the bulletin board, stop by to sign up.
Important
NEEDED: Volunteers to bring SNACKS for UMYF. Look for the sign- up sheet on the hallway table.
THANK YOU...to all who provided snacks in March and April!
Sort bakery goods, organize fresh produce from the
community gardens here and in Coppell; and help
Metrocrest clients collect a week's worth of food for
their families. Ten church members and two
friends came for a fast morning lending a hand at
Metrocrest. Thanks to all!
Once again the United Methodist Women are having their
annual fundraiser with a salad luncheon in Fellowship Hall on
Saturday, April 21st at 11:00 am.
This year will be different since we will be having an inter-generational
modeling show sponsored by Dillard’s. UMW
members will be joined by mothers and children to show off the
latest fashions. The theme is children's literature with table
sponsors selecting a child's book and decorating the table
accordingly. We are excited about the possibilities of the various
creations by the creative minds of our church members. They
have always done a fabulous job in the past and we expect no
less this year.
So make your plans to buy your tickets starting this Sunday.
Prices are: Adults - $10.00 and children - $5:00. Invite your
friends and family. This is always a fun time so let us know who
and how many will be sitting at your table and joining in the
festivities. What better way to be disciples for Christ than uniting
in an exciting event to benefit others.

Lenten Journey is a personal, spiritual and creative experience offered in a community setting.
Eight meditation centers provide an environment and instructions for a private and self-paced
meditation on the Seven Last Words of Christ. In order to maintain the sacred space
and silence of Lenten Journey, guests are welcomed and given a brief introduction to the
meditation centers.
Each of the eight meditation centers provides a different meditation experience, while each
center has instructions and materials necessary for the meditation suggested.
A simple journal is provided and instructions are given for journaling in order that guests may
better remember the graces offered them. You may bring your own journal if you wish.
Guests take as long as they like at each station. If they are unable - due to time - to complete all
eight stations, that is alright. Lenten Journey is set up for you to come and go at your
convenience.
If guests need extra time between centers, want to remain in prayer or solitude after the eight
meditations, or perhaps need to wait for a center to become available, they are invited to sit
quietly in the Sanctuary, read their Bible, or go for a walk (in the daylight).
Lenten Journey is a simple, yet deep experience for participants. All hospitality ministers and
guests are asked to maintain silence and respect the solitude of other participants.
