When is Bible Storytelling Night?

Come enjoy the great talents from the GPS & Class Menagerie Sunday school classes and the Choir.

Who is invited?

YOU ARE ~ and your friends and family.

Feel free to invite a neighbor or friend who would enjoy a fun evening of Bible stories. This is a multi-generational event, everyone is welcome.

This Sunday, February 12, will be the last time you can purchase stocks to assist our 3rd – 5th graders going to Choir Camp. We are about half way there with the stock purchases made Sunday, Feb. 5th to being able to send the children with no additional cost to their parents.

If you purchased stocks this past Sunday, February 5th - thank you so much! The stock cost is $10.00; please make checks payable to Chapel Hill UMC (we also take cash.)

Most of you will be out of school the next day or off of work, so you can sleep in on Monday!

What will we do at Bible Storytelling Night?

We will have a homemade soup dinner made by Family Life. If you eat a vegetarian diet, we will have a soup for you, just ask.

We will break up into groups to hear and see creative performances about stories from the Bible. The youth will "shepherd" each group to their destination.

We will end the evening with something new.

We will also have an opportunity for you to support Imagine No Malaria.

The Sonshine Choir will be selling stocks on February 5 and 12 to help our young people go to Choir Camp. The stocks will cost $10 each. Right now we have eight children that hope to go to choir camp. It costs $245 for each singer to attend camp and the deadline for the 'early bird price' is February 24. Each choir family will contribute $50 and we are hoping to raise the remainder of the cost or $1560. The children and I are hoping that Chapel Hill will be as generous as they were last year.

If we receive more than the $1560, then that money will go toward Iris Shiver's camp cost. Iris was Chapel Hill's adult counselor last year and she LOVED the camp. So look for the green table just inside the door as you enter Chapel Hill where you can purchase your Choir Camp Stock!

Nursery Update!!!

Our nursery workers are now certified in First Aid and CPR! They took a very detailed course along with teachers from the German ISD. Sammy and Ruth are very dedicated to our church nursery and we are blessed to have them.

Have you noticed the nursery pictures on the children's wing bulletin board? Ruth has been taking pictures of some of our beautiful children and has posted them for you to see. The nursery also has a lesson each week that includes a song, story and activity. I am very thankful to Sammy and Ruth for making our church nursery a loving and educational place to be.

Did you know that Sammy and Shanelle are available on Wednesday night for child care?

While you are in Spanish class, choir or any other Wednesday night activity you may sign up your child for a fun evening of crafts and Bible lessons.
