The DISCIPLE handbook summarizes the purpose of DISCIPLE Bible study in the words of Ephesians 4:12: “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.”
Beginning September 2014, Chapel Hill will offer Disciple I (Part 1) for people who are interested. The class will run for 12 weeks with weekly meeting one and a half hour. Beginning with Genesis and continuing through Revelation, by the end of the 34 weeks, participants will read approximately 80% of the Bible.
Disciple Bible Study is a great opportunity for those who study to grow spiritually as we share a faith journey together through a program based not just on information, but on transformation.
Classes are offered Thursdays, 7:00-8:30 pm beginning September 4, 2014, led by Pastor Mai. Registration begins August 19, 2014.
Childcare, with preregistration, is available. Study manuals are $35.00 and are available one week before the class begins. Contact pastor@chapelhillUMC.org or the church’s office to sign up.
