I visited some of the classes of Project Transformation last week and watched as one intern mesmerized the children with stories of the culture & customs of places like: Germany, Japan, Africa, England, India, Mexico, Brazil & Vietnam. Places most will probably never get to visit, except in their dreams. Then on to a new “thingie” introduced this year! A morning devotional. As the kids sat in a circle in the sanctuary, I wondered if some had never been in this place before. They quickly learned this was “hallowed” ground and showed the proper respect for our place of worship.
This is just a sampling of what PT does for our neighborhood kids. It also shows the dedication of the Project Transformation interns & I cannot emphasize enough the skills, knowledge & training invested in this program. Children today. Leaders tomorrow. They are our future. Take a peek at what they have planned for you.
Mark your calendars for these two dates:
Thursday night, July 24, 2014 – Family Fun Night, 5:30 p.m.
Sunday morning Worship, July 27, 2014, 10:30 a.m.
Thursday is family fun night offering a talent show by the kids and a time to get acquainted with the families who might be looking for a church home!
Sunday morning Worship, July 27, 2014, 10:30 a.m.
Chapel Hill will honor the interns as they present a short program by the kids, to show their appreciation for our church support. Meet & greet these families & interns and give them words of encouragement. Together we can do great work for our Lord and Savior.
Remember, we are a village and that includes you!
Fruits of the spirit be yours: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.
