The December giving tree Angels are for the children who are staying at the Wesley-Rankin Community Center here in Dallas. There are several ways you can help support them and help them have a great Christmas!
1) Donate any of the following items and place under the tree: coats (new or gently used), socks, underwear, hats, pajamas and toys
2) Take an angel off the tree and buy items from their “wish list” – If you cannot buy all of the items, don’t worry! Purchase what you wish to donate and bring them back to put under the tree with the child’s nametag in the bag of goodies. Your outreach team will see what is missing and use the “loose” items under the tree to complete their gifts.
Some folks in the church have teamed up with another family or church friend to “buddy” shop for a child – what a fun and creative way to celebrate giving love to a child this Christmas! If you are looking for someone to share your child, contact Melanie Willhite 214-335-3365 and I will find a buddy for you to share the expenses of the shopping trip! Oh, and please leave all items unwrapped!
We would love to have these items by next Monday, December 10 because they are giving these items out to the children on Saturday, December 15. We will take items after that, but the kids won’t receive them until after the Christmas holidays. THANK YOU for reaching out!!!!!!
