Tell Me The Stories… The Great God Adventure was indeed a great adventure for 34 campers, 3rd thru 5th grades, nine counselors, along with camp directors, Ms. Scottie and Ms. Karen. Our Chapel Hill UMC choir campers this year are Madeleine, Morgan, Glorie, Aubrey, Sarah, Jaidyn, and Leslie. They learned songs and Scripture that tell how we belong to God (Isaiah 43:1), God created the world and created us (Genesis 1-2), God’s Word is Holy and we can trust God’s Plan (Exodus 3:5, Genesis 6:13 and 14, Matthew 4:1), God is Awesome and Everywhere (Exodus 3:14), Names of God (Luke 11:2, Psalm 18:2, Psalm 23:1, Psalm 28:7, Genesis 18:25, Genesis 18:25, 1 John 4:8, and 1 John 1:5), Walking with God (Isaiah 12:2), Loving and Praising God and God’s creation (Micah 6:8, Psalm 150, and Isaiah 12:4 -5).
O what beautiful music the campers made to praise God singing… Sanctuary, God is Here, Festival Alleluia, Forty Days and Forty Nights, When You Pass through the Waters, Goliath, Prayer of Peace and My Father’s House.

And, mark your calendars for the 2nd week in June 2014… Elementary choir camp is always the 2nd week in June!! Am pretty sure that Chapel Hill UMC will have four returning campers and a counselor.
