In the classes I am taking to be a certified Intentional Interim Minister, we are required to write a paper on a case study. The case study I have chosen is to listen to many year Methodists and hear how we cope with or handle the many changes in pastorate that come our way in the Methodist itinerancy system.
I asked for your help, Chapel Hill. I invited anyone who wished to tell me their thoughts on this subject to join me after church to briefly share with me how they feel about change in pastors and how they have experienced this event as Methodist members through the years.
If you did not get a chance to come and talk with me, please send me a note or e-mail and share with me how it feels to have one pastor leave and another step in. One person was so appreciative of being asked for their input. They said in all their lives as Methodists, no one had ever asked how members feel about this system. Thank you for your input. I welcome any other comments on the subject.
