Our hearts are a little heavier this week as we say goodbye to two very valued employees of Chapel Hill: Heidi Tolle, our Youth Director and Lamar Smith, our Music Director.
Heidi will be moving with her family to Portland, Oregon, because of a new career opportunity for her husband, Rob. Heidi’s leadership and mentoring of our youth since 2012 will be greatly missed, as well as the 3 awesome Tolle kids—Rachel, Hannah, and Jack.
Lamar will be furthering his education and professional career, which will include many new responsibilities. The choirs and handbells will always be grateful for the musical education and growth that he brought to us, and the congregation will never forget the many inspiring and beautiful musical moments he has given us over this last year.
Please come to a reception in their honor immediately after church this Sunday, June 1, 2014, and take the opportunity to thank them for their service to Chapel Hill and wish them well on this next phase of their lives.
