Epiphany Ministries of Texas for Youth Offenders

The Lord replied, “If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.” Luke 17:6

Dear Brother and Sisters in Christ,

Praise God from whom all blessing flow.

The time is near for Evins Regional Juvenile Center’s (located in Edinburg, TX) First Epiphany course. The dates will be January 16-19, 2015.

I will leave Friday morning, taking of course the spirit and “will” of God with me, and your prayers and financial gifts that will help start a new beginning for federal imprisoned youth. The team is forming at a slower pace and things (the team) looked bleak at one point but, as you know God has his ways of doing things.

I will be the State Board Representative this weekend. For those that don’t know what that is, my job is to oversee the weekend, our team, and what we will be doing (following the state manual guide) inside and outside of the prison. This includes following the federal laws of the prison and Epiphany Ministries regulations. This is to protect the incarcerated youth, the guards (JCO) and volunteers from doing or saying anything that would endanger, or get Epiphany Ministries removed from the prison, or worse the TJJD prison system/facilities.

My choice of Luke 17:6 above was because I have been asked to give a talk about “my world.” My World is the name of the talk, but in this talk I’m asked to share a part of my personal life testimony about my world. I was asked to do this because another volunteer backed out. So brothers and sisters, I ask that you not only keep praying for myself and the new team, but for that volunteer who may just miss out on being used by God to spread the word about the love of Christ, because God works in mysterious ways.

IHH,
David Ricks

P.S. Next article, when God is done.

EPHESIANS 3:18

I wish above all things that you may know how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ for you.
