The last Newsletter stated that choir rehearsals would begin July 29. Rehearsals will ACTUALLY begin Wednesday, August 5, at 7:30 p.m. Hope to see your smiling face in the choir this year!
Music Opportunities
Audio Technicians
(This is just a fancy way to say we need volunteers to help work the new soundboard.) There will be a volunteer training Saturday, July 18, in the sanctuary from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The training will be led by Cory Drake of Platinum SLV, the company that installed our soundboard. The idea is to have everyone trained and then have scheduled Sunday rotations. Depending on the number, I would like for volunteers to work once a month. The system is user-friendly! If you want to attend or have any questions, please let me know.
Dedicated Voices Needed
The Sanctuary Choir is in need of tenors and altos, but all are welcome! We will begin rehearsals Wednesday, August 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the choir room. Come and join us for an exciting new season of worship! Even if you can’t read music, come anyway! I’ll help you. See you there!
Ding Dong
The Chapel Bells will begin ringing Wednesday, September 2, at 6:00 p.m. in the choir room. If you would like to learn to play handbells, this invitation is for you! If you know your left from your right, you can ring!
Youth Choir/Praise Band
There will be a meeting/rehearsal Sunday, August 9, at 4:00 p.m. in the choir room. Any youth that can sing or play an instrument, come and lend your talents to this new effort! We already have a bass player and a drummer. YAY!! Send me an email if you have any questions.
