June 22, 2015: Sunday School News

We kicked off our summer with a BANG! The theme is “Jesus is Our Superhero!”

Foundations Sunday School Class News

Our Foundations Sunday School Class was doubly blessed on Father’s Day and our classroom was doubly full. Our fathers, grandpas, and friends shared our Sunday School activities in our classroom and since the playground was wet from recent rains we were out in the hallway for a new game — “Father Says.” We only do what our “Father Says” and what “God Says.” If the fathers didn’t say “Father Says” or “God Says” then the children didn’t do what they were told to do!

Our children learn ever-so quickly… we only do what the wisdom of our fathers says is right. And, where do our fathers get their wisdom? From God our Heavenly Father, of course.

Luke 2:52 says, “Jesus grew both in body and wisdom.” Where did Jesus get his wisdom? From God our Heavenly Father and from Joseph, his earthly father, of course.

Foundations Sunday School children and dads and grandpas put color on two of Ms. Iris’ favorite pictures, shared Scripture and lessons during our group time and special Father’s Day snacks.

Thank you to our dads, grandpas, and friends who came to share Sunday School with our Foundations Sunday School class, Jin Kim, Kirk Connally, Joel Rangel, Lee Willhite, Pat Moore, and Archie Shivar. Mr. Archie also was assistant teacher with Mr. Sammy and Ms. Iris. This was a very special time for our Foundations Sunday School children and teachers.

EPHESIANS 3:18

I wish above all things that you may know how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ for you.
