As you may know, our congregation raised an astounding $461.00 during Kids in a Box, which all went towards The Birthday Party Project, which was enough to fund an entire birthday party for homeless children! The company was extremely grateful and sent us the following letter.
It reads:
Dear birthday enthusiasts,
On behalf of the children celebrated through The Birthday Party Project, we want to thank you for your generous contribution of $461.00. Because of your generosity – more children will feel the JOY and MAGIC of being celebrated on their birthday.
Homeless children are the littlest victims of conditions they cannot control. Our parties are not only a celebration of their special day, but also a loud exclamation that they matter! It’s just the kind of magic moment that allows a kid to have hope and to dream BIG!
Not every child has a home, but every child has a birthday. Thank you for making the lives of homeless children better – one party at a time!

In addition, I received an email that said they were so pleased that they want to present each student with a free t-shirt!
A big “thank you” goes out to all the youth, who had the passion to make this happen, the volunteers who dedicated their time to such a wonderful cause, and, of course, the generous congregation members who donated financially. Because of God working through you all, you will bring joy and happiness to many. Let’s keep up the good work!
