Bad Girls of the Bible: Rahab

The first Sunday in our series, we looked at the story of Eve who taught us that knowing God helps us as we go through our lives to not be fooled into doing what we shouldn’t. She also helped us understand that if we make a mistake, we shouldn’t blame others.

On our second Sunday, we looked at Delilah and her hair. She taught us that the pursuit of material possessions can and does lead to broken relationships. Delilah’s story tells us that we are called to encourage and support those around us and not to belittle or expose any friends or neighbors.

Last Sunday, we danced with Michal and learned that when we go to worship, we should come to it with open to everything that God has in store for us. Whether that may be confessing what is going on in our lives, bringing even more of our energy to worship, or that all that we do should be filled with love. Michal’s story pushes us to strive for more when we worship God.

We have learned about many women in the Bible who have traditionally labeled as bad. This Sunday is the last Sunday of us seeking to see if they were mislabeled. Our last Sunday will look at Rahab and what her story might teach us of our own. What might that be?

Join us and see!

EPHESIANS 3:18

I wish above all things that you may know how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ for you.
