The church at large will be participating in the Lenten series, “Creed” by Adam Hamilton, which begins this Sunday and ends on Palm Sunday. The children have been given Lenten passports to complete. We have challenged them to bring their passports EVERY Sunday and to any event they participate in at church so they can receive their “passport stickers.” If they each child earns at least 2 stickers every week, we will have a party the week after Easter to talk about what they learned and to celebrate! This week they can receive stickers for: Filling out their information page (and drawing a self-portrait). Bringing an item to Break-fast, attending Break-fast and Ash Wednesday, talking to their parents about what they learned about fasting and Ash Wednesday, and committing to either give up something or add something to their daily routine for the season of Lent. The children are excited about the challenge and will need your support to learn and complete their weekly tasks!
