Most of us could be characterized as ordinary people. We are living ordinary lives. It is nothing to be ashamed of. There is nothing wrong with being ordinary. Ordinary is normal. So, our lives are normal. We want food, shelter and security for our families. We want health for our children. We are ordinary.
Most of us feel, that since we are ordinary, we are limited to doing ordinary, or mundane things in our service to God. However, the Bible is full of ordinary people. Ordinary people who are used by God to accomplish extraordinary things. What would cause us to believe that God is no longer using ordinary people to accomplish God’s work?
In this series, we will look at several ordinary people in the Bible, and explore how God used them in extraordinary ways. The hope is that we will come to realize that God will use us…ordinary people….to accomplish God’s extraordinary purposes.
