You met our interns on Sunday. Are you ready to adopt those lovely young folks for a week?!
Last year, in an effort to improve the relationship between ourselves and the Summer PT team, we asked individuals, Sunday school classes, and ministry groups to choose one of the 8 weeks. You all fed and ministered to the PT team for at least breakfast one morning during the chosen week. That program was very well received by our team, and allowed us to know them and interact directly with them. Those of us who were lucky enough to get to provide that extra bit of love, appreciation, and encouragement were also blessed to enjoy their enthusiasm for this work they are so wholeheartedly engaged in.
Will you do it again?
Talk to your church buddies, your Sunday school class, etc. Brandi will have a signup sheet out this week, sign up as soon as you or your group decides what week is the best for you!! The team arrives about 8am M-Th to prepare the day, and the kids get there starting a bit before 9. Our ministering and such should not take too much of their prep time, but please be creative with your approach and have a little fun getting to know them!
