Yes, they’re going to be here again soon! Yes, they are young adults brimming with optimism and facing a daunting task! Yes, it will strengthen them and our community for you, your ministry area or Sunday School class to support them spiritually, materially or emotionally for one of the 8 weeks they’ll be with us. Please talk amongst yourselves, find a week that needs coverage, and sign up on the clipboard if you possibly can.
“What do you want us to do with them?!” Great question! Love them. This has always been a free form ‘care package’. Some people of groups have cooked breakfast or made snacks for the week, others have come in and prayed with them each of the mornings, given them pep talks, thank you notes, still others have brought coffee or gift cards for nationally famous coffee houses… Whatever you choose to do, for between one and four days of the week you choose, make it fit your personality and make it relevant to helping these young people thrive at their very tough job this summer in our house of worship.
