Exciting COVID News and Opportunities to Share God’s Love

CHUMC Family,

I first write to ask you to make sure you review this Monday’s newsletter for both a potential vaccination opportunity and for ways you can volunteer to share God’s love through Project Transformation and Sack Summer Hunger as we seek to love our neighbors and grow our church. You can review the newsletter here:

Also, we have exciting news. We have revised our Reopening Protocols in light of the latest CDC recommendations. Basically, masks will now be optional for those who are fully vaccinated and are beyond two weeks since their last final dose and we will return to singing congregationally in worship. However, please note if you are not yet fully vaccinated or are not yet two weeks beyond your final dose, you are still required to wear a mask. If you are choosing not to be vaccinated, please note you will be required to wear a mask until further notice. We know this is a slow climb back to normalcy and we appreciate your cooperation. We trust everyone will function with the the utmost honesty and care as members of CHUMC, the United Methodist Church, and the Church universal, in covenant with God and one another, out of love for all their neighbors so that they will not risk the well being of their fellow members and the community.
With that in mind, we ask you to read the full revised CHUMC Reopening Protocols so you will know what to expect and what is expected of you. You may read the protocols here:

Grace and peace,

Rev. J.D. Allen
Senior Pastor

I wish above all things that you may know how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ for you.
