It was a relief to speak with almost all of our CHUMC family and learn you had either been spared the challenges of last week’s winter storm or were able to brave the cold and turn to others who could lend a hand. Praise God.
As announced by email Saturday and in worship Sunday, we will continue to collect goods for Metrocrest Services including items such as canned tuna, canned chicken, soup, and peanut butter. You can drop off those goods at the church during the limited office hours included in this email. We continue to limit our office hours as we cope with the pandemic and with Project Transformation After School having returned to our campus.
We returned to in-person worship yesterday and look forward to gathering with those who are able, though we will also continue to stream online to connect with you in that way as well. Many thanks to our Reopening Team for the work they have done these past twelve months: Jim Hanigan, Melanie Willhite, Lee Willhite, Robert Putnam, Tom Wooldridge, and Pat Moore.
As we continue in worship, we will continue our Lenten series Embracing the Journey in which we will pursue the journey toward the Reign of God as led by Jesus the Christ. It is a journey fraught with challenges but full of love. Hope you can join us.
Grace and peace,
Rev. J.D. Allen
