CHUMC Family,
It has been impressive the way so many of you have rallied to make our Project Transformation families and interns feel welcome here at CHUMC. From providing a good meal and company to our interns the Sunday before the summer day camp began, to welcoming families at the door at pick up and drop off, to calling the families to introduce yourselves and invite them to the blessing of the families you have truly stepped up and I thank you. Such hospitality demonstrates glimpses of God’s love to our neighbors and sows the seeds of new transformative relationships at CHUMC.
The first PT Family Fun Night of the summer approaches on June 24 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. This is an excellent opportunity to meet the families and introduce yourselves face-to-face. I hope you can be there and join in the fun. When people created in the image of the loving God, who have not before known each other, get together and build meaningful relationships, God’s love meets them there and hope abounds.
I know hope abounds as I witness you sharing God’s love in practical ways and I cannot wait to see the fruit that comes from such displays of love.
