Pastor’s Message: Mar. 8, 2021

We continue to embrace the journey this Lenten Season as we follow the biblical narrative toward the discipleship of the heart. This week, we discussed Exodus 20:1-17 and reflected on the importance of following the way God has placed before us and how we are continually shaped by God’s grace as we do. The love of God and love of all our neighbors is the way of discipleship that sets us free for love. Next Sunday, we will explore how we encounter God when our trust in God goes awry, before we experience the hope of being fully in the grip of God’s love.

As we continue through Lent, I want to remind you of the Lenten prayer guide that is available via email and Facebook each Sunday morning. If you have not started using the prayer guide yet, you can still get started today. It is a wonderful opportunity to explore Jesus’ spirituality and how it can transform us as disciples so that we are in union with God, all our neighbors, and all creation.

As we move toward Easter, may God’s love give you hope.

Grace and peace,

Rev. J.D. Allen
Senior Pastor

EPHESIANS 3:18

I wish above all things that you may know how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ for you.
