What time is worship and what is the worship celebration like?

Our Worship Celebration happens each Sunday at 10:30 am in our intimate and welcoming sanctuary. This worship experience, led by Senior Pastor, Rev. J.D. Allen, is designed for people of all stages on their faith journeys. We strive to provide a lively experience that is personally meaningful which features a relevant message from God’s word.

Do you have Sunday School?

Yes, we have children, youth and adult Sunday school classes at 9:15 am each Sunday before our Worship Celebration.

What is the United Methodist Church and what does it stand for?

The United Methodist Church is a denomination that strives to make disciples for the transformation of the world. If you would like to know more about that, visit their website at www.umc.org/what-we-believe

Will I be able to participate in Communion?

As part of the United Methodist Church, we believe in an open communion table, which means, YES! You are welcome and encouraged to participate in our communion worship celebration that happens the first Sunday of every month. What should I wear?

Wear clothes that you are comfortable in. Be yourself!

Will I have the opportunity to speak with the Pastor?

Yes.  Our Pastor is available after the worship service to answer any questions.

Where do my kids go during worship?

The Church Nursery is available for infants through young 3 year olds.  Please check in at the nursery located down the children’s hall on the right.   For more information, including Sunday School, please visit our Children’s page.

The Children’s Message Experience is available for ages 4yr olds – 4th grade, immediately following the children sermon.

I have a child with special needs.  Do you have accommodations for my family?

Yes! At the family’s request, we will provide a loving, attentive friend to help their child participate or take care of the child while the parent(s) and/or sibling(s) are involved in any church activities.  In order to arrange care for your child, please contact Pastora Idalia Luna at pastora.idalia@chapelhillumc.org at least 48 hours prior to the time needed.
