Chapel Hill has a new hymnal, called Worship & Song. Did you happen to see the green book in the pew racks last Sunday that is the same size as The Faith We Sing (Black Book) hymnal? We have the Memorial Committee to thank for this generous purchase that expands our worship possibilities through music. We have already been singing some of the songs from this hymnal. They were the hymns that you probably noticed that didn’t have a page number.
I hope you will take time to look through the new “Green” Worship & Song hymnal, because you will find some of the old time favorites, some new contemporary worship songs, several songs that you will know that didn’t “make it” into either the UM Hymnal or The Faith We Sing hymnal. So when you are perusing through the hymnal and you come across a favorite of yours, please write the name and page number on a piece of paper and give it to me. I hope that we will sing it on the first appropriate Sunday.
