The M.O.P. for the month of September is to collect items for Genesis Women’s Shelter. Genesis Women’s Shelter is a safe haven for the victims of domestic violence and is consistently operated at capacity with a full waitlist. Their outreach counselors see an average of 1,000 women and children each year, and the Shelter houses 650 women and children annually. The families who walk through the doors are escaping unspeakable violence, and the Shelter’s goal is to provide them with all the tools they need. These items are an integral part of their daily program for their inhabitants.
- Infant & Children’s medicine (esp. cough)
- Tylenol, Advil, Cold Medicine
- Body Wash, Lotion
- Nail Products, Make-up
- Brushes and Combs
Please fill your bag and bring your items next Sunday and leave them in the bin in the hallway. Thank you Chapel Hill for reaching out in this way!
Thanks a bunch!
