Singing is a God given talent meant to be shared – and it isn’t just for birds! If you would like to “try-out” choir to see if you would enjoy it – then I say come on, give it a try. If you sing in the shower, then I say to you – come on, give it a try. If you sing with the radio while at home or in a car – then I say to you – come on, give our choir a try!
Rehearsals begin Wednesday, August 1 from 7:30 – 9:00pm and we’d like all singers to join us. The choir is a fun group, probably you know most if not all of the current members. Besides leading the congregation and singing anthems during the worship services, this fall the choir will participate in the DE-licious Bar-b-que ‘event’ on October 20th by singing some wonderful spirituals and then in December we will present a beautiful Christmas Cantata. We believe in having parties where we have time to truly enjoy one another and we close every rehearsal by sharing joys and concerns and ending with a prayer.
So come on, give the choir a try. We would love for anyone from the 6th grade through, oh let’s say the more advanced years to come and share your God given talent with us and the rest of your brothers and sisters in Christ at Chapel Hill UMC. Like the psalmist said: “Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things.”
