Library Volunteer…
Sorting books; reading with the children one-to-one or small group; helping children find just the right book! Spring Scholastic Book Fair is coming the 2nd week in April and that’s always a lot of fun. Ms. Murphy, the librarian, Paul Culp and Iris Shivar had lots of fun at the Fall Book Fair.
Clinic Volunteer…
The school Dental Clinic is Tuesday, March 26, and Wednesday, March 27. Nurse Simone will be happy to show you around Cabell so you can bring the students from their classroom to the Dental Clinic.
Career Day…
Coming Monday, June 11, Ms. Garcia, school counselor, is organizing the Cabell Elementary 2013 Career Day and has invited our Chapel Hill UMC family to share their work, trade, skills and professions with the students; what you do and how you decided that was the kind of work that was for you. This is ever so important for the children…giving them the inspiration they need as they continue in their education.
