Adult Education needs your feedback on Companions in Christ!
Let us re-commit to our sisterhood meetings, Companions in Christ. We will begin a new study and it’s looking very good.
The book we will use is The Gospel of Ruth: Loving God Enough to Break the Rules, by Carolyn Custis James.
First, let me know that you plan to attend beginning September 9, 2013.
Second, if it’s convenient for all of you, let’s begin at 10:00 am or 10:30 am and end by 12:00 pm.

Grief Recovery Program by Rev. Mai Le
Scripture reminds us that FAITH “is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).”
Personal experience teaches us that GRIEF is painful, sporadic, and life-changing. And research shows that COMMUNITY is vital in overcoming faith’s fears and grief’s isolation.
An eight-week class on grief recovery will be offered beginning October 1, 2013 through November 19, 2013, 10:00 am to 11:30 am using Doug Manning’s book, Thoughts for the Grieving Christian.
This study is not only for those who have lost a loved one, but includes those who are dealing with grief due to family issues, loss of job, divorce, and on-going illness.
Deadline for registration is on Friday, September 20, 2013. The book for class costs $16.50, paid at sign-up time. The Sign-Up Sheet is on the table outside the church office. You can also register by email.
We will conclude in advance of Thanksgiving holiday.
