The Farmers Branch “Christmas Tour of Lights” lights up the city every Christmas to bring the spirit of Christmas to our community. Once again the Chapel Hill membership shared the Christian light of our congregation by participating in this event. Not only did we have 12 choir members singing carols throughout the evening but we also had another 13 dedicated members greeting the families as they drove through the Historic Park. Families were greeted as they came into the park and as they left the park by friendly Chapel Hillers.
Although we cannot name all participants, we offer a special thank you to Jimmy Hanigan and to Kirk Connally for being Santa Claus once again this year. Yes, it was a little cool but we bundled up and greeted each car with a smile. We were blessed with donations of $1200 that goes directly to our church. The Chapel Hill name was in three different areas to let people know we are involved in the community through our outreach programs.
God bless each of you for once again showing we are a sharing, loving and caring congregation. May the angels of God spread their wings around each of you as you enjoy a blessed and joyous Christmas.
