Moving Up
Congratulations to the three-year-olds who are moving up from nursery to the younger class: Erica, Jake, Laurie, and Megan. Also, Justin, Jax, Katelyn, and Sam visit with their families, when they can. These kids all join Caleb in the 3-6 year old Sunday School class.
A huge thanks to Iris Shivar and Shanelle Tennyson for leading this class again this year. If you would like to substitute teach or be available to help from 10:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. each Sunday so that Shanelle will be on time for choir, please see Iris or Shanelle.
Bible Sunday and Promotion Sunday: September 15, 2013
This Sunday, four special children will take a Bible class and receive a Bible from the church. These kids have shown an interest in reading the Bible during Sunday School and Message Experience. They have been learning Bible stories and developing a deeper relationship with God.
Neela, Mitchell, Sarah, and Jacob will receive a Contemporary English Version that matches the new set of Bibles in the Garden Room. These maturing children are all ready to read on their own at home.
This Sunday, we will also celebrate all of the wonderful children who have been promoted to a new class this year. Please be sure to be in worship to honor these exceptional kids.
Children’s Sabbath: October 13, 2013
Children are already requesting certain parts of the service and it isn’t even written out yet! The kids are eager to lead worship on October 13th!
We are taking requests; if you have a favorite part of the service, then please see Ms. Dawn. We will assign parts on September 29th. Be sure that you are attending Sunshine Choir to learn the music for this special day. The youth will be ushering and may take part in certain parts of worship.
Family Fun Day: September 21, 2013
Methodists all over the North Texas Conference will unite with their relatives and extended family members to celebrate Family Fun Day. United Methodist Family Fun Day is for people of all ages. Invite your neighbors, friends and coworkers to celebrate with us on Saturday, September 21, 2013. There will be gift bags and prizes for the first 200 people who show up at each venue.
