I am so excited about the enthusiasm of the children participating in Children’s Sabbath this year. If there are any other children who would like to participate, please contact me right away. We can always use a few more.
Our children’s worship service will be just a little different from our traditional weekly service, but you will recognize the parts of worship. Our theme this year is growth. Did you know that the story of The Sower is told three times in the Bible? Check out Matthew 13:3-9, Mark 4:3-9, and Luke 8:5-8. There are also other times in the Bible when faith is compared to a seed. Reading those stories makes me wonder: What can your faith grow?
This Sunday the children will stay in worship, instead of leaving for Message Experience. This is a good time for them to pay attention to how the adults read and how worship is put together. For some of our kids, sitting and listening can be a lot harder than acting out a skit or reading a Bible verse. However, it is an important skill that we all need so that we can learn from others.
Reminder: we will have a Children’s Council meeting this coming Sunday right after church, 11:30am.
