Epiphany News Update: November 1, 2013

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Come Join UsRomans 8:28 states, “God knows what he is doing with our life.” I have just received an email from the Lay Director about the Epiphany 20 in Mart, Texas…

Because of the gym still being under construction, we have to postpone Epiphany #20 until after the first of the year. We have been in prayer and have tried to make it work in the chapel and it just won’t. Please don’t look at this as a discouragement but an opportunity to give the boys the best weekend possible.

It is God’s timing and not ours. After the announcement, an epiphany member told us that the kitchen at the Mart church is being remodeled and has run into a couple of snags so there may be a possibility that it wouldn’t be finished either. Although some would call this a delay (like me, because I am ready to share Gods word to those in need), but this is God’s time.

So we at Chapel Hill will continue the “Hands On” Prayer Mission with Epiphany ministries by praying over the wooden cross that will be given to the prisoner on the last day of the Epiphany weekend. So far, the cross has been prayed over by the Staff, a prayer Group that has taken the cross out and walked the labyrinth, out to a hospital with a member for therapy, out to a prayer warrior home, and back to Chapel Hill. I will continue to call upon the Chapel Hill Family to take the cross out for prayer and donations until we get a date for the Mart Epiphany. If there is a place in your heart to take this cross “out” and pray over it with a hands-on spirit, please contact me or call the church and I will get it to you.

In His Hands,
David Ricks
