The monthly outreach project for September is to gather staples for the Methodism’s Breadbasket, an agency of the United Methodist North Texas Conference. This well-known and effective food pantry feeds thousands of people every year. They could really use our donations to help restock their shelves!
Here is a list of what they need:
CANNED GOODS: Fruits, vegetables, beans, including canned meats
TOILETRIES: Shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper, soap
BREAKFAST FOODS: Pancake mix, breakfast bars, hot or cold cereals
STAPLES:
- 2lb bag of sugar, flour, corn meal
- Vegetable/Canola Oil
- Shelf-stable Milk
- Canned Milk
- Dried Beans
- Canned Beans
- Pasta (spaghetti, noodles, macaroni)
- Jellies, jams, syrup
- Peanut butter
- Tuna Helper
- Instant Potatoes
- Crackers
- Jell-O
- Popcorn
- Complete Drink Mixes
- Macaroni & Cheese Dinners
- Cornbread Mixes
- Rice
- Juice
