DID YOU KNOW?
Faye Chapman has been a member of Chapel Hill UMC since May 15, 2000. She will have been married to Bill Chapman for 40 years on September 14 this year. She taught 3rd grade for 10 years before moving to the DFW area. They are both retired and love it. In their blended family, they have 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. That is enough to keep them busy year-round just recognizing birthdays and Christmas. What a blessing for that family to have two wonderful parents, grandparents, and great grandparents to share their lives.
Faye comes from just south of Waxahachie in the south Plains of Texas where she lived for 20 years and loved it. She has taught Sunday school but not at Chapel Hill. Perhaps that is because she has been so busy serving on the Nurture Committee (10 years), the Nominations Committee, and the Sanctuary Committee. She also served on the CDP Board before we closed our child development program. She was instrumental in all aspects of our CHUMC 50th celebration including playing a large role in putting our pictorial directory together. She has been a great historian for our library gathering information and compiling it along with pictures from our past. If you want to know something about the history of Chapel Hill, just ask Faye.
