Nursery Renovation Update
The nursery renovations are underway! We had many helpers come on Sunday. 15 people worked on removing paint, sanding the door frames and cabinets, removing the old sinks, repairing plumbing issues, and moving furniture to other rooms for storage.
We also got most of the work done in the theatre room to change it from a temporary infant nursery back into a theatre room and preparing it for the new seats that were donated by Brookhaven College. It is still in progress, and we still need helpers so don’t stop now or feel like you missed your chance.
Our classrooms in the children’s wing have had to be multi purpose for the last several months, and it is nice to finally see that the time is coming soon when we will be able to use all of the classrooms appropriately. This means we will also be able to get our furniture out of the rooms in the adult wing, so that those can be better used. Our Project Transformation Interns will be helping to set up part of a storage room so that it will be more functional. It may seem like we are renovating just the nursery, but it effects the whole building.
Project Transformation Begins This Week
Thank you all for welcoming our interns that will be leading our children this summer, and thank you for fully funding qualified kitchen workers for the summer. I know those of you with kids coming to PT camp just can’t wait for it to begin.
This church is incredibly blessed to be able to offer such a comprehensive program that meets the needs of our neighborhood. Without PT we would likely be struggling to fulfill our calling to reach these families. Because of the resources that PT brings in, we can bring more people into our church family and meet more of their needs.
I am feeling so grateful to you, the congregation and to the interns, for all of the hard work and money that you pour into doing the Lord’s work here at Chapel Hill.
