June 24, 2014: Project Transformation Update

Project TransformationProject Transformation has truly transformed this year and the change has been amazing. This is the best group of interns we have ever had, and the children are more respectful and quiet than the past several years.

Because I have not been a big cheerleader for PT in the past, I want the members of our church to see the differences I have noticed. When they arrived to do set-up, they were assigned the kitchen and wiped down all the cabinets & mopped the floor. Three other interns mopped the fellowship hall while another group mopped the youth room. They arrived in a cleaning mode and have not stopped even going so far as looking for things to do. One even asked if the kids could weed the prayer labyrinth.

All the interns are well trained and dispense discipline in a firm but loving way – the Christian way. These are the leaders of tomorrow – and the Lord is using us to guide them in a Christian environment & “bring them up in the way in which they should go.” It is a small investment for tomorrow’s generation; a golden opportunity for Chapel Hill Outreach.

Sometime when you are by the church take notice of all 70 of the younger ones running and playing in the playground area, and it will be a glimpse into the past years ago when our own children filled the play area.

Truly, it takes a village.

In His service,
Nancy Hartman

EPHESIANS 3:18

I wish above all things that you may know how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ for you.
