Just a note… Last Saturday, I came by the church for a meeting & was amazed at what I found. Tiffany was busy putting finishing touches on all the Easter Children’s programs. Isiak was herding choir members into the sanctuary for a last-minute rehearsal, while Shanelle roamed the halls warming up her beautiful voice.
Brayson was finishing up his Boy Scout project outside the parking lot entrance. I am very impressed with this young member who has earned money for several months & spent it all on this project. With the full support of his family, and maybe a couple of friends, Brayson dismantled the fence and old equipment leaving only the concrete pad. He had already asked permission from Trustees to re-do this area and submitted a plan of how he envisioned the project.
I was beginning to get a warm & fuzzy feeling but had to leave. As I drove by our community garden, it was also covered with worker bees tending their garden plots & planting flowers. I had a sense of God’s work and said to myself, “God’s in His kingdom; all’s right with the world.” But I also realized all the talent in our church and the marvelous things that can be accomplished when we come together as a community.
Next time you are at the church, take a few minutes to look at all the things that have been taken care of with tender loving care. Church family, we can be proud! A Special thanks to Brayson for a job well done; it truly takes a village.
