Here are our 2014 Confirmands. From left are Rachel Tolle, Glorie Romine, Jon Slavinskas, Lily Harlow, Madeleine Davis, and Taylor Horn. With the love and support of the congregation, these youth have been learning and growing and working through what they sense Christ Jesus to be asking of them as the people of faith.
This Sunday, April 27, we will celebrate the baptism of the Slavinskas and the “remember your baptism” of the other youth who were baptized earlier to prepare them for the confirmation.
The following Sunday, May 4, is Confirmation Sunday when the church will recognize that these youth are on their journey to adulthood and mature faith as they make their vows to live as the faith forming people of God.
This is a very important time in the life of these youth as well as the life of our church! Please continue to pray for each of them and be with them on these two special Sunday services. Together we will praise our God, the God who loves us and calls us to courageous discipleship, loving justice and walking humbly with ever prompting Spirit.
