Our communion offering this Sunday will help support Project Transformation. Project Transformation Is a nonprofit Christian organization ministry dedicated to the exploration and leadership development opportunities to College-aged young adult and community oriented programs for children and youth living in low income neighborhoods in north Texas.
One of the programs that we participate in is the children’s summer camp which offers programming Monday through Thursday led by college interns. Each child is paired with a volunteer to read one-to-one each day. Other activities include fitness, visual arts and crafts, music and theater.
Today we celebrate the successes of Project Transformation in our community. Each summer for the last 3 years we have hosted a summer reading camp right here at Chapel Hill. This summer, we will have more than 85 Farmers Branch young people here, 4 days a week for 2/3rds of the summer. We will read to those children and help them create more productive and opportunity rich lives for them through this vital ministry.

As you may know, it is a nonprofit Christian ministry, dedicated to the exploration and development of leadership skills and opportunities for College-aged young adults, and to community oriented programs for children and youth living in low income neighborhoods in north Texas.
