Metrocrest is piloting a program to help fill the ‘hunger gap’ created by the lack of school lunches during the summer for many of our community’s elementary aged children.
They have asked for our help. They need us in several capacities.
Lead a team? Even if you’re a teen? YES!
Fill sacks? Yes again!
Deliver them on Saturdays? Yes, for sure!
This is all honor system; we have not committed CHUMC for specific days or times. Please look at your calendar today and note what times/dates work best for you. Then contact Nicole Newkham: nnewkham@metrocrestsocialservices.org to let her know when you are able to help. Be sure to let her know you’re from Chapel Hill!
