Chapel Hill UMC has just experienced an incredible Holy Week. We’ve walked courageously through 40 days of Lent and re-experienced the passion of our Lord through our Lenten Journey and our heartfelt Maundy Thursday services. We rejoiced with the MANY happy children on Easter Saturday for the Children’s Easter Celebration and egg hunt.
Easter Sunday topped it all off. The youth offered us a beautiful Easter Sunrise Service and we all enjoyed the delicious Continental Breakfast from the United Methodist Men. Easter morning worship was exciting with the incredible Easter Brass, organ and choir music, the gathering of Easter people and the ingathering of saints to join this congregation of the United Methodist Church. WOW ! Alleluia.
We welcome our newest members, Lyndia and Ray Mills, who have been regular guests for a while. We look forward to enfolding them into this vital body of Christ.
Huge thanks to our loving God who made all this possible. Thanks for giving up your only Son to show us the way to eternal life and to save us from the death of sin. Sisters and Brothers in Christ, the Easter season continues for 50 great days. May peace and joy continue to surround us as we walk right into the 50 great days of Easter tide.
