Metrocrest CROP Walk on September 14, 2013, was considered a success! The morning was cool and sunny. With the walkers, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and other participants totaled 250. The entertainment afterwards included the Firewheel Gospel Jubilee, Filipino Folk Dancers, face painting, snow cones, and popcorn.
Thank you to Kaye Bandy for being the nurse of the day, Judy Bader directing the CHUM walkers, those who walked and those of you who donated to the event. As a group, Chapel Hill UMC donated over $650.
The CROP Walk committee will be meeting soon to get set up for next year. Would another time of year be better? Another venue? More activities? Less activities? If you have any suggestions on how we can increase the number of CHUMC participants, please give that info to Kandy Burdette by calling her at (972) 418-7711.
