It is time to prepare for Easter!
Candy and small items that will fit in an egg may be dropped off in the donation area starting March 16, 2014, Sunday. This year, we are discouraging but not banning chocolate, because in April, it may or may not be warm enough to melt chocolate.
All candy must be individually wrapped. You may buy the pre-packed preschool themed eggs. We will use those for the young children; just leave them in the box. We are reusing our plastic eggs, so we don’t need many more, but if you see them on sale or already bought them, bring them by.
Again, please put all donations in the donation area (the coat rack area). All of these will be removed on a regular basis and kept in a closed plastic container.
We will be stuffing the candy into the eggs on April 13, 2014, Palm Sunday. We will give you detailed instructions then.
The Easter Activity Day will be April 19, 2014
It is time to sign up for an area.
We will need a team of people in 6 areas—Storytelling, Art, Games, Egg Hunt, Mommy and Me, and Sign In. We will also need people for photography, decorating, and clean up.
We really need some new faces to plan and perform the Easter story; Ms. Barbara, needs an energetic team. Maybe you want to help plan or act or maybe your group wants to do it. Think about how you can be part of this and sign up now.
Please, email Dawn Self to sign up. Team rosters will be on the bulletin board later. Be sure to sign up soon, as the spots will fill up fast.
If you have not done Ministry Safe, just tell me when you sign up and we will get that done. All volunteers will be checked against the list before going on the roster and given a volunteer name tag on arrival.
I hope you are having a happy Spring Break. I am away from the office this week, so I will return any calls or e-mails after I return on the 17th.
