Pat and Terri Moore came to us from Walnut Hill UMC when Pat became youth director in 1986. Pat’s son Chris came with him and was part of our youth group. Pat and Terri both played volleyball for and against Chapel Hill, when they attended other churches. So it was fun for many of us to see them match up and get married.
Pat is from Decatur, Illinois, but graduated from Hillcrest High School. He has taught Sunday School to both the younger children and in our youth program. He and Terri are both members of Class Menagerie. Pat has been a member of Nominations, Worship, SPRC, United Methodist Men, Labors for Neighbors; and he chairs our usher volunteers. He is retired, but continues to have a newspaper job.
Terri is an attorney. A few years back she was an 8th grade honors student of Margaret Young’s when she was at Cary Junior High School. She has been a member of Nominations and active in Labors for Neighbors. Some of her hobbies include reading (especially history), travelling and golf.
They stay busy with all the children in their household: Jacob, Nathan, Caleb and Wilson and their 4 dogs. Their daughter, Meredith, is the mother of Wilson and is currently expecting a little girl that will be adopted by Pat’s son Chris and his wife Jannessa. Meredith has been on the Outreach Committee and was a member of the Chapel Hill group that went to Africa.
