Greetings Chapel Hill fellowship and community. I would like to introduce myself as your new Music Director and tell you a few things about myself.
First I am greatly looking forward to meeting all of you and getting to know you on a personal basis. I am a life long resident of this area. I was born in Dallas and did my musical training as a pianist at the Arts Magnet High School and with teachers at SMU and UT Arlington.
I was previously music director and pianist at Aldersgate UMC in Arlington for 7 years and am coming to you from Trinity UMC where I have been pianist the past year and a half. My goal as your music director is to bring the word of God to you in as many enjoyable, thought provoking, and spiritually moving ways as possible. I wish to use music as my ministry and evangelism to reach people outside the church. I look forward to forming a fellowship of joy and praise with you all.
I have been supported throughout these last seven years by my wonderful wife Glori who is looking forward to meeting you as well. It is always difficult when making these kinds of changes and transitions but from what I can tell from the people I have met so far, you are a wonderful loving and welcoming bunch, and I have a feeling you will make this as easy a transition as possible.
