I am so excited to share with you Chapel Hill’s newest Ministry, Prayer Ribbons. The purpose of the ribbon is to answer God’s call for His people to love one another. If we are to follow God’s greatest commandment – “to love your neighbor as God loves you” then we must pray for our neighbor.
This Ministry is as simple as they come. First and foremost, EVERYONE can do it! EVERYONE is invited and encouraged to participate!
So here’s how it works…
A ribbon and an index card will be provided for you. Write your name on both! Please also include your phone number on the card. Your ribbon will then be given to someone else in our congregation that will pray for you throughout the month. On the last Sunday of each month, your ribbon will be returned to the church, to be given to a new person on the first Sunday of the next month. At the end of the year, you will have been covered in prayer for the entire year! You will also receive a ribbon with someone’s name that you will pray for during that month.
