Kids in the Box!
It’s that time again! Join the Chapel Hill Youth on September 23rd at 6pm for Kids in a Box and a Talent Show! Every year, the youth spend one night sleeping outside in boxes to simulate the feeling of homelessness. Each youth gets a change to decorate their box, and you get to donate/vote for your favorite! All money raised goes towards The Birthday Party Project, which holds birthday parties for homeless children. For your added entertainment, the entire congregation is invited to join us for a Dinner Talent Show! The youth will have a table in September for talent sign-ups and ticket sales.
Do you have any boxes roughly the size of the average teenager? The youth are now taking your donations for large boxes. You can drop them off at any time, or arrange for Brandi to come pick them up with a quick phone call. Help us make this year’s event one to remember! |
Blood Drive
The Bi-Annual Chapel Hill Blood Drive is coming up soon. On September 17th, directly after worship, you have the ability to save three lives with one donation. Please be sure to mark it in your calendars to help so many people continue to live. This will be during our Potluck that month as well. So eat some food and a save a life on September 17th. Pathway Training for Ushers and Greeters
As our Charge Conference comes up, we are updating the procedures for our Ushers and Greeters to help us as we continue on our Pathway Ministries. We have started to see signs of the Pathway popping up with our new visitor signs out front, and some parts of the building being spruced up. This training is just another step as we continue to implement our Pathway to Discipleship. On September 10th, directly after church, we are having another updated training process for our Ushers and Greeters, so we can report about the many amazing things that are happening at Chapel Hill. Please put this training on your schedules so we can all see how we are helping Chapel Hill follow our mission. |
