We have received some complaints about the newsletter and need to fill you in on what we discovered. Many of you said the newsletters were torn or had been damaged and put into envelops, forwarded, and eventually received. We have switched to a heavier paper to see if that helps. The biggest complaint was how long it took to receive the newsletter. We have tried mailing them from different sub stations, from the church address with postal pick-up, and so far it does not make any difference. They are mailed on Tuesday and used to be received on Wednesday or Thursday. Lately, they arrive Friday or the following Monday. One solution might be to opt out by reading it online. If you elect to do so, please notify Emily in the church office to request to be deleted from the mailing list. On a personal note, I recently mailed a check within Dallas and was called when received because the past date was February 9th and they had not received it until February 20th. Since we are at the mercy of a government agency, I doubt we will get any service on this complaint, but we wanted our members to understand we have vigilantly tried to correct this problem.
