Our 2018 Lenten Season

We have begun our Lenten season and are excited for the many opportunities that we have to take part in this time of contemplation and shedding the unnecessary things from our lives. If you have noticed the flyers and bulletin boards, we have many opportunities to get involved and invite any neighbors or friends to join in the fun. Please make sure to check out the board, our calendar, the church website, and the flyers to the many activities that you can join.

Some things that are coming up:

Empty Bowls:

This is the 19th Annual Empty Bowls benefiting the North Texas Food Bank, scheduled for Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10:30 am, where Dallas chefs and restaurants, potters, community partners and donors will help us raise funds for North Texans in need.

Easter Egg Hunt: (with GISD):

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt with our German International School of Dallas on Saturday, March 24th at 2pm. There will be a hunt and lots of fun for all children and families to celebrate the Easter season.

HOLY WEEK

Maundy Thursday – the service will be at 7pm in the sanctuary

Easter Sunday

Easter worship will be an Easter Cantata and Communion filled Worship Celebration starting at 10:30am on April 1st. There is no joke when we say you will definitely want to be here for the Easter Cantata, A Living Hope: Celebrating the Risen Christ. Make sure to attend this Easter because it will be one that you remember.

Our Sermon Series

Our Sermon Series for the Lenten season will be going through the miracles of Jesus’ ministry here on Earth. Tying into our Lenten study, Made for a Miracle, we will be seeing how those miracles relate to our lives and how we might transform our lives into something that proclaims God’s glory for all. Join us each Sunday as we go through our series and come to the study on Thursday nights and Sunday mornings. (more information inside)

EPHESIANS 3:18

I wish above all things that you may know how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ for you.
